Elderberries are small, dark purple berries that grow on the sambucus tree/shrub most commonly found in Eastern Europe, scientifically called Sambucus Nigra, and have been used for centuries for their amazing medicinal benefits. These tiny berries may be poisonous to humans in their raw form, but they are packed with vitamins like A and C & antioxidants called Flavonoids. Research done about Flavonoids has shown strong anti-inflammatory & immune system benefits.
