SHINE Self-Care Club helps fifth + sixth grade girls develop a lifelong toolkit for emotional and mental well-being by building self-awareness, resilience, and confidence through simple, age-appropriate self-care practices. The self-care skills taught in this club can improve focus, reduce stress, and enhance social skills.
Goals:
Empowerment: By learning self-care early, girls gain confidence and independence.
Healthier Friendships: Girls will learn the value of setting boundaries and maintaining positive relationships.
Emotional Balance: Practicing self-care helps girls navigate the ups and downs of growing up with resilience.
Who: 5th + 6th grade Pine Lane Elementary girls
When: Mondays weekly starting on January 6th and ending on March 10th from 4:30p-6:00p (8 weeks - no meetings on 1/20 or 2/17)
Where: Douglas County Libraries - Parker - Upstairs Loft
Objective: To introduce young girls to the concept of self-care, develop positive self-care habits, and empower them with practical tools for emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
